Don't get me wrong. I can see how its helpful knowing no one is still on if you by chance miss the welcome ding it gives you when someone joins. It's just not for me nor anyone else I have spoken to. I always turn it off when I use GoTo Meeting to record video for an extended period of time even when no one is on the meeting. It helps with demo prep.
It's pretty easy to turn off but its surprising to me to know that not many people know how to turn this off. This will be a short post but I think it should be helpful so I'll post it anyways.
Two steps to turn on/off the beeps:
- Click 'edit' under the Audio section. It is half way down in Figure 1 below
- Uncheck the 'Play On-Hold Beeps'.

Figure 2- Make sure the 'Play On-Hold Beeps' is unchecked
Thank you for the information. In addition to gotomeeting, tools like R-HUB web conferencing servers may also be used for conducting online meetings. It works well.
